Union Paving constructed six miles of new outer roadway. Scopes included: large scale clearing of wooded lands; significant traffic control; excavation and export of over 70,000 CY; demolition of two overpasses in close proximity to active roadways; construction of two bridges spanning the Millstone River and three overpass structures, each spanning 12 travel lanes; temporary bypass and permanent re-alignment and bank stabilization of the Millstone River; installation of sanitary sewer force mains and water mains (open cut and directional drilling); four storm water detention ponds; and approximately 60,000 TN of asphalt paving.
