Redevelopment of Greenville Yard – Phase I

Union Paving reconstructed and expanded PANYNJ’s freight yard in Jersey City, which serves as a link between Conrail’s facilities, NYNJ Rail’s train car float service, and Global’s Container Terminal.

Removed 26,300 LF of existing track, and forty-seven track turnouts; constructed 53,500 LF of new track, forty-two turnouts, twenty-four crossovers, and one diamond crossover, all new site drainage, water force mains, an underground compressed air system with compressor sheds, a high mast lighting & camera system with drilled shaft foundations, and three prefabricated office trailers.

Additionally, we disposed of approximately 80,000 TN of non-hazardous contaminated soil and paved over 10,000 TN of permanent roadways.
