Reconstruction of Route 3/Route 46 Interchange. Work included the demolition and reconstruction of 5 Bridges, construction of 18 retaining and noise walls (10,100 LF), 13 new sign structures, the extension of 2 culverts and replacement of 1 culvert, 155,000 CY of excavation, 30,000 CY of rock excavation, including rock drilling and blasting, 110,000 tons of asphalt paving, 10,590 LF of drilled shafts, and 4.5 million pounds of structural steel. Utility work included installing 16,000 LF of storm sewer, 7,000 LF of water main, 2,300 LF of sanitary sewer, 3,700 LF of gas main, and 53,000 LF of electrical, ITS, and telecommunication conduit.
