Removed/replaced existing bridge deck and concrete roadway to correct structurally-deficient bridge decks. Designed and implemented all traffic control plans to minimize impacts on vehicle and marine traffic to and from Port Newark and Newark Airport; utilized 37 high intensity weekend shutdowns (reduced from 59); returned service a collective 150 hours ahead of schedule; and 500+ lane closures. Installed over 5,800 SY of precast roadway panels, 3,300 SY of precast bridge deck panels stabilized with Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC), 1,300 SY of cast-in-place approach slabs, 1,800 SY of moment slabs, 3,000 LF of high-strength bridge parapet, new guiderail, and improved highway lighting.
