Rehabilitated existing structures and constructed new bridges to complete the interchange. Key features included: mechanically stabilized earth retaining walls supported by controlled modulus columns; approximately 200,000 CY of excavation; twenty new or modified retaining walls totaling 4,300 LF; five new bridges; six new or reconstructed ramps, totaling more than 12,000 LF; thirteen sign structures; relocation of 2,000 LF of noise wall; widening of ten bridges; drilled shafts; a soil nail wall; 73,000 LF of utilities and construction of a new toll plaza administration building. Delivered the project six (6) months ahead of schedule and won multiple awards.
